The Defence Attaché of the European Union delegation, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Ansgar Glatzel, paid a courtesy visit to the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, at Burma Camp in Accra.
The visit formed part of efforts by the Defence Attaché to formally introduce himself to the Commandant of the College, Major General ( Maj Gen) Fredrick Dankyi Ntiri, and to reinforce the existing bilateral relations between Ghana and the European Union.
During the engagement, discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly in the realm of defence cooperation, strategic leadership training, and institutional collaboration.
Major General Ntiri expressed his appreciation for the visit and commended the European Union for its continued partnership and support. He noted that such engagements are vital in promoting shared security objectives and enhancing professional exchanges between institutions.
Lieutenant Colonel Glatzel, on his part, reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Ghana, especially in capacity building and strategic-level engagements.
The visit underscores the growing collaboration between Ghana and the European Union in advancing peace, security, and leadership development.
